TITHE IS FOOD which was to be eaten before YHWH, only at the Temple, NOT MONEY! We sin if we pay tithes to churches in the form of money because it would be ordained by God. Tithing of money is a false doctrine or teaching of men (Mark 7:7). Donate whatever you please. Do not pay tithe if you are one of the holy believers in Jesus.

Deuteronomy 12:17 ASV
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain, or of thy new wine, or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill-offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;

Deuteronomy 14:23 ASV
And thou shalt eat before Jehovah thy God, in the place which he shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of thy grain, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herd and of thy flock; that thou mayest learn to fear Jehovah thy God always.

Deuteronomy 26:12 ASV
When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year, which is the year of tithing, then thou shalt give it unto the Levite, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled.

NOTE that we may not pay tithe to any church because tithe is something that could be eaten only at the temple in Israel or sold if one lived far from the temple. The Israelites were to use freely the money from the sold tithes as they wanted, keeping the Levites in mind to give them something.

Matthew 6:19-21 ASV
(19) Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:
(20) but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
(21) for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.
